The most recent wedding shoot and glowing review!

I just has the sincere pleasure of photographing Tanya and Hutch's beautiful wedding in Madison, WI. What an intimate ceremony and reception! Many thanks to the beautiful couple and thank you for the generous review!

"What can I say other than I absolutely loved the work that Gustav did! He was professional, easygoing, had vision, and he listened to what I (and my new husband) wanted. Like most people, I have insecurities about being in photos, but Gustav worked with us to take the best photos that I've ever taken. I had some negative experiences working with controlling or sharky vendors who wanted to get as much money as possible out of folks who didn't exactly know what to expect (since we had never been married before). Gustav listened, and he didn't make us feel badly that we could only ask him to be there for 4 hours. I think it's a good idea to discuss whether you want photos that clearly show what you look like or photos that evoke the feel of the wedding or your personality. You might also want to specify a few photographs that you definitely want so that there's no confusion. We did both, and everything came out better than I expected. He was also willing to travel to 3 different sites without complaint.

On the actual night of our wedding, he e-mailed us 8 gorgeous photos so that I could use them for a wedding announcement in the newspaper. We are still waiting for the rest of the photos to filter in, but all of the photos that he has sent is of such high calibre that I couldn't wait to write a recommendation. Yes, this is a real review: I just write well because I'm an English professor (on a limited budget).

Gustav's rates are extremely reasonable for the quality of his work. If you're unsure, I think that you should just e-mail him. I usually dislike contacting wedding vendors because of all the high-pressure sales tactics, but I think that Gustav will level with you. He's also good at blending in at the wedding and being patient with exuberant/slightly obnoxious relatives who pretend to be the professional photographers."

Relieved and enthusiastic, Tanya & Hutch
